For example, the day you start getting your pension, your birthday or maybe next Christmas. In this case the Progress Widget might help you to keep track of how many days you still have to wait. Just add this widget to your home screen, choose the date since when you've been waiting and the corresponding end date, and select an appropriate icon like a snowman or a birthday cake. As time goes by, the icon will move from the left side of the widget to the very right, depending on how many days you still have to wait.
If you like, you can choose a picture from your photo gallery to be used as the background for your widget.
